About Little Mud Club
We’re just a family who likes to go outside.
It started on a Sunday afternoon that wasn’t going well. Screens on. Kids restless. Outside, a perfectly good afternoon going to waste.
We’re Nils and Astrid, a Belgian family living in the French Basque Country. We moved here for exactly the kind of life we wanted our kids to have: space, mud, fresh air, and room to roam.
But even here, even with all of that just outside the door, some days you still need a reason to actually go out.
So we made one.
Little Mud Club started at the kitchen table, after bedtime, built for our own kids. Scavenger hunts, nature bingo, activity cards. Simple enough to actually print, open enough that the kids genuinely cared about them.
We’re not influencers. We’re not gear brands. But we do know the outdoors.
Between us we’ve guided trips in Greenland, lived six months in Alaska, done alpine climbing, trekking across four continents, and cycled through Lapland with our oldest in a cargo trailer and a tent.
Now we live in the French Basque Country. And we’re figuring out how to pass all of that on to two small people who still think worms are the most interesting thing in the world.
Little Mud Club is how we do that. Simple tools to get kids outside, from a family that genuinely lives there. 👣
